Baca Gitu Loh - Saudi Arabia - Indonesian pilgrims were welcomed with hot weather when they arrived at Makkah Al-Mukarramah. The average temperature in the City of the Prophet Muhammad's Birth ranges from 30 – 45 degrees Celsius.
The Saudi Arabia Hajj Organizing Officer (PPIH) appealed to pilgrims to maintain their health and not to force themselves to carry out sunnah worship or pilgrimage programs.
“The weather in Makkah is very hot. Pilgrims are advised to maintain their health, not to force themselves to worship sunnah, and carry out the pilgrimage according to their own abilities," explained the Head of PPIH Saudi Arabia 1444 H/2023 M, Subhan Cholid in Makkah, Tuesday (6/6/2023).
The arrival phase of the first batch of Indonesian haj pilgrims from Medina to Makkah took place from 1 June 2023.
As of June 5, 2023 at 21 PM Saudi Arabia time, there were 22,932 Indonesian pilgrims who were already in Makkah.
They are joined in 58 flying groups (kloters). The arrival phase of pilgrims from Medina will last until June 16, 2023.
Meanwhile, the second batch of Indonesian haj pilgrims will begin departing from Indonesia on June 8, 2023.
They will land at Jeddah's King Abdul Aziz International Airport and then depart for Makkah Al-Mukarramah.
The arrival phase of the second wave of pilgrims in Makkah will take place from 8 – 22 June 2023.
The following is an appeal from PPIH Saudi Arabia for Indonesian pilgrims:
The main goal of the congregation is to perform the pilgrimage. Considering that the weather in Mecca is very hot, Indonesian pilgrims are advised:
A. Continue to maintain health and fitness;
B. Do not force yourself to carry out sunnah worship, pilgrimages, and other activities that will drain your energy;
C. Worship according to one's ability so that the pilgrimage, especially during the Arafah, Muzdalifah, and Mina periods, can run well and smoothly.
May all Indonesian pilgrims achieve prosperity. Amen. ***
