Baca Gitu Loh - Makkah, Saudi Arabia - The Saudi Arabia Hajj Pilgrimage Organizer (PPIH) Makkah Work Area (Daker) gathered food providers for Indonesian pilgrims in Makkah. They are reminded to make the best preparations in serving the pilgrims. If there is a delay, a penalty will be imposed.
Indonesian pilgrims are scheduled to start arriving at Makkah Al-Mukarramah on June 1, 2023. The first flight flight Jakarta – Pondok Gede (JKG 01) will be the first group to arrive at the City of the Prophet's Birth.
They departed from Medina after undergoing the Arbain worship or the obligatory congregational prayers at the Prophet's Mosque for 40 times.
The Head of the Hajj Catering Division, Muhammad Agus Syafi', said that there are 54 kitchens that will supply food for the entire congregation. They were asked to be careful in the distribution so that the food is fit for consumption when the pilgrims receive it.
"Each kitchen must carefully pay attention to all the rules that have been agreed upon, both in terms of the menu to the time of food distribution," said Agus while chairing a consumption service meeting for pilgrims, at the Daker Makkah Office, Monday (29/5/2023).
"I also remind that there are supervisors who oversee every consumption service. It should also be remembered that there will be sanctions for kitchens that are late in distributing food to the congregation," he continued.
While in Mecca, Indonesian pilgrims will receive three meals. For breakfast, distribution is made from five to eight o'clock, with a maximum consumption time of nine o'clock.
For lunch, the distribution is from twelve to fourteen, with a maximum consumption limit of sixteen.
Meanwhile for dinner, distribution is made from seventeen to nineteen, with a maximum consumption limit of twenty one.
"We will routinely conduct visits to the kitchen directly to monitor the production, processing and distribution processes," said Agus.
The same thing was conveyed by the Head of Consumption Service Section for Daker Makkah Benny Darmawan. He said, providers of consumption for pilgrims must really pay attention to the food distribution schedule.
This distribution process is very important because it relates to food intake which will support the health of the pilgrims.
"The congregation's consumption packaging must prepare the closed box earlier because the congregation is expected to arrive in Makkah on June 1," explained Benny.
"If there is a kitchen that does not use the standard food box lid according to the agreed terms, then there will be sanctions," he concluded. ***
