The flood inundated Balinggi and Torue sub-districts on Monday (29/5) at around 22.00 WITA. The victim who died was named Masi (70) who is a resident of Balinggi.
"Yes, there are victims (dead) and have been found," he added.
The floods occurred after the 2 areas were drenched in heavy rains. The flood was also triggered by the overflow of the river.
"Last night (floods) averaged. The rain started in the afternoon, the peak at 10 pm had started to flood. (Floods) including overflowing river water," explained Amir. ***
