When he visited the room of Wisma Shafa Hajj Embarkation Dormitory in Batam, where he spent the night before leaving for the holy land, he told about his efforts to perform the pilgrimage which he aspired to.
"Thank God, I'm healthy, usually it's just blood pressure, there's no pain," said the woman with a happy face after performing the Asar prayer in her room, Tuesday (23/05/2023).
Previously, women with tight facial wrinkles worked as rubber tappers. For years he had been saving up to be able to go to the Holy Land, to become God's guest that he longed for.
After he felt that he had enough savings, Tukiratin registered for Hajj in 2017. "I registered for Hajj in 2017, I used to work as a rubber tapper," said Tukiratin who had migrated to the Riau Archipelago in 1963.
He recounted his journey to Batam via sea from Tanjung Balai Karimun Island. "Alhamdulillah, the trip to Batam went smoothly. Delivered with the children," he said.
The woman who never stopped giving thanks during the conversation hoped that she would be able to carry out the pilgrimage smoothly, have a safe trip to the Holy Land and return to Indonesia.
"Hopefully the trip to the Holy Land will go smoothly, back and forth, there will be no obstacles, it will go smoothly to the destination, and when you get there you can carry out what is required (pillars of pilgrimage)," he hoped with tears in his eyes. (Amilia). ***
