Baca Gitu Loh - Sumatra, Indonesia - As many as 110 buildings in Wawasan Village and Bangun Sari Village, Tanjung Sari, South Lampung, were damaged by a tornado on Sunday (9/4/2023) afternoon.

South Lampung Regent Nanang Ermanto went down to inspect the location hit by the tornado accompanied by the ranks of the Polres and Kodim 0421 South Lampung.

"Many residents' houses were damaged, trees fell, and schools were affected. Thank God, there were no casualties," said Nanang Ermanto who immediately observed the impact of the tornado in Wawasan Village, Monday (10/4/2023) morning.

Meanwhile, Head of South Lampung BPBD, Heri Bastian said, the total damage was to 110 buildings consisting of 106 residents' houses, two houses of worship, and two schools.

"The worst condition is in Wawasan Village, there are 97 buildings, the rest are in Bangun Sari Village, which is located nearby," said Heri Bastian.

Until now, BPBD South Lampung is still continuing to record the number of buildings damaged by the incident. ***
